Style File – Juggan Kazim

A kick-ass Red Carpet appearance does’nt necessarily require an over-thought outfit or anything too ‘fashionable’ in the strictest sense of the word. However, what it does plead from a celebrity is to choose wisely and more importantly pick an ‘appropriate’ outfit for the event. Wearing a Nickie Nina embellished outfit , Juggan was snapped at the PSFW Day 1 Red Carpet , and though we re not fans of the very colorful outfit itself, Juggan made it just worse by picking it at a wrong time.

At another recent event, she chose an outfit that did little justice to the lovely actress. We think Juggan has a marvellously pretty face and only needs better styling to give us ‘the look’ we are waiting for.

Like a Boss ! Frieda Pinto in Gucci

For the Trishna Premiere at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York , Frieda decided to go 360 and opted for a maroon Gucci suit for the evening. We re completely blown away with the look . Love the color of the finely tailored suit against Frieda’s skin tone . The updo, Fendi striped baguette and butterfly broach added a whole new feminine touch to the look.

Of Launches – Shantanu & Nikhil Store Launch

At the Mumbai store launch of Shantanu & Nikhil , Dia Mirza and Aditi Rao lent their support for the designer duo by dressing up in pieces from their collection. Both the ladies looked lovely and there’s hardly anything we can whine about. Brownie points to Aditi for the choice of footwear – they make up perfectly for the lack of color in the dress. However, we love Dia’s dress more for the added color and detailing on the skirt.

Zahra Ayub picks Alexander McQueen for the Big Day

For her Wedding Day, fashion stylist and blogger Zahra Ayub Yousaf picked up a Royal Blue Alexander McQueen halter gown with gold detailing around the neck and waist. She paired it up with KFJ (Kiran Fine Jewellery) which went perfectly with the McQueen. We think she looked jaw dropping gorgeous. Heres wishing Zahra all the best for her future. Kadijah or Meher at PSFW? Poll it !

Woaah ! this one’s tough , considering both ladies are one of the most well-dressed ones around . At PSFW , Meher Tareen and Khadijah Shah both went for funky, floral themed looks , Meher letting the floral printed tights by Mary Katrantzou do the talking and Khadijah picking one of her own pieces. Khadijah wore the same pink flower tops that ran throughout her collection on the runway (Elan – if you dont know as yet) . Meher , we believe, opted for them simply out of support for Khadijah.

We think both ladies wore their look well . If we still have to opt for one, we de pick Khadijah . For sure. Not really feeling the Chanel on Meher – it confuses the whole ‘cutsie’ look.

Nailed it !

If you have been following us lately (and by lately we mean just the last one month – LOL ) , you would have noticed the enormous amount of effort Kajol has been putting into what can be termed as her ‘re-birth’. This particular appearance was probably the epitome of her comeback. And boy did she NAIL IT head-to-toe ! The cream n pink floral saari is on our Will-die-to-get-it-list .

P.S. Keep doing what you are doing Kajol , we dont want that washed out, messy look on the red carpets no more.

Ditto !

A Ditto ! We re not anti-repeating clothes , but ‘no break and same styling makes Safinaz a dull designer’ , especially when you are the pioneer of ‘the lawn’ we know today.
