Twitterati : Sonam Kapoor in D&G

Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor recently tweeted a picture of Sonam wearing a black D&G suit for a launch event. Black & white ruffled top (also by D&G ?) & orange patent pumps completed her look. We re slightly on the fence about the color of the pumps – we think red would have been a better choice with the very anglized-classy look. The hair are are just ‘Love’ , though at first glance you may have confused it with a hat. They don’t call her the queen of hairstyles for nothing.

Sana (or) Safinaz ?

At a recent lawn launch, Safinaz Muneer was spotted in similar version of the designer duo’s zig-zag printed shirt that was earlier worn by Sana Hashwani at the launch of ‘One’ by Ensemble in Karachi. A different color but an almost similar cut & collar in both versions. While Sana kept the whole look formal & accessorized , Safinaz went rather casual with a simple black clutch & open hair. We liked Safinaz’s purple version wee bit better than Sana’s.

Fashion Face-Off – Sri Devi & Kareena’s Manish Malhotra sari

There was something about the on-stage flash or the blouse of Sri Devi’s Manish Malhotra sari that made this look close to being tacky. We prefer the silver-sequin version of the same sari that Kareena wore at the Filmfare awards earlier this year. The drape should also have been spread out & not pinned up – not for this one. You agree or is it just our bias for Kareena speaking here ? :/

Guess who just got Ayesha Khurram for herself

We first broke the news to you guys about Ayesha Khurram going across the border (See here) by stocking her pieces on Pernia’s Pop-Up shop, an online store by the Indian designer Pernia Qureshi . Guess who might have just bumped into our blogpost and decided to get her hands on one of Ayesha’s Kurtas – American pop sensation Katy Perry :) And boy does she look excited to open her Pernia’s box with that Marilyn Monroe Kurta. We cant wait to see her make an appearance in this one.

So proud of you Ayesha !

P.S. We also spotted the same Kurta recently on Ayesha Ahmed at the Nine West launch in Karachi . Guess we need to grab it too now.

Shazahan in Rocky S

For the recent phone launch, Shazahn picked up a grey Rocky S dress from his Lakme Fashion Week 2012 collection. Side swept ponytail , a maroon clutch & nude peep-toes added finishing details to the look.

Though we think Shazahn looked pretty, however, Ladies can we please get over with the nude peep toes with almost anything & everything? Strappy block heels would have completely re-vamped the whole look.

P.S. . Dia Mirza wore a similar dress from the same collection at the IIFAs a few weeks back .

The Black Blazer Bummers

We re still guessing what exactly was Sonakshi thinking when trying to put together those Harem pants with a velvet blazer. The silver clutch and red lips only added to her woes . As of late we have had a series of disappointing appearances (including those at IIFA Awards and ‘Rowdy Rathore’ premiere) by the lovely actress and are waiting desperately for her to break this vicious spell.

At another event, Preity Zinta too went the black blazer route & got it all wrong (tough it was still better than Sonakshi’s) . The belt ,which she wore earlier at KJo’s Birthday bash (see here), didnt belong there. Infact we think the blazer itself was not well tailored. We re also not fans of the flower detailing on the skirt.

Best Dressed of the Week

We love Sameera Reddy for changing it up every single time. One of the very few B’Town actresses who dare to go the unconventional path & manage to work em most of the times. At the recently held launch event for ‘Ishq in Paris’ , Sameera wore a partly lined grey sequin dress by Nimrita Lalwani. Though the dress was’nt itself too exquisute, but Sameera kept the look effortless & chic with minimal accessories & side-swept waves.

For the Blackberry Porsche launch it was mix & match separates for Sameera , which we think is one of the best appearances of the actress so far . Tea Pink high waist pants, striped top, neon blazer (<3) ,a matching envelope clutch & Aldo pumps – we loved the whole fun ,youthful ,high-street look that only a few can pull off so well . . Definitely, the best dressed for us this week.
