Neons & February (s) give us such a high sense of Déjà vu ! Well apparently neon will continue to hold on for yet another spring season. Neon accents were just about everywhere on the runway at the recently concluded New York Fashion Week ; Tanya Taylor, Victoria Beckham and Rag & Bone to name a few . At the local front, we spotted the trend on Sanam Chaudhri & Andleeb Rana (Editor XPoz’e magazine). Sanam paired her sassy Kirkwoods with hot pink pants & a cowl neck top. She looked super charming & cheerful !
Andleeb on the other hand went for a more relaxed look in neon yellow pants with white tunic & pink fluoro Cambridge Satchel.
Both the ladies looked quite similar. No? If only Andleeb didn’t have the bag displayed on her tummy, we would’ve given it to both – this time it’s Sanam for us !

Remember we shared a little secret regarding Priyanka-Fahad collaboration last week? Well , you can thank us later but the guessing game is finally over – the fresh new Issue of HELLO! Pakistan is out now featuring none other than the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra on it’s cover . Shot by the famous Indian photog Dabboo Ratnani, the photoshoot comes as part of Fahad Hussayn’s Ittehad Textiles ‘Print Museum’ campaign with Priyanka as the brand ambassador.
Compared to the previous cover, this one was majorly Big both in terms of the featured celebrity & the layout of the page ( interesting lil sneak peak into Wardha Saleem, Sanam Chaudhri & Tena’s shoot). Do we like it ? Yes ! Are we blown away by it ? No ! A little voice in our head says there must have been other brilliant shots that would have made better picks – but that’s just us.

For the big day, Shezray Husain got herself a pastel hued Bunto Kazmi bridal dress. She looked lovely & absolutely on trend with Bunto’s signature Mukaish work mixed with multicolored Resham (thread) embroidery & a fuschia pouch. We for one are loving the the new generation bride – modern, classic and simple.
Emaad Hasan was wearing a custom-made Sherwani by Sabyasachi. Here’s wishing Shezray & Emaad a very happy married life.
P.S. You may recall Shehrnaz also wearing Bunto Kazmi at Shezray’s Mehendi. Read here if you haven’t already.

For her Mehendi ceremony in Lahore recently, Shezray Husain went for a custom-made Sabysachi dress. The signature Sabya colors looked lovely against the bride’s peachy complexion. We like that she kept the jewelry & make-up minimal and let the dress do most of the talking..Emaad Hasan , the bridegroom was wearing a custom-made Deepak Perwani kurta. Here’s your look at their lovely mehendi pictures.
P.S. Shehrnaz was wearing a signature Bunto Kazmi mukesh ensemble. Loved her minty-green pants !

Both girls who get our vote for the Best Dressed at the the PFDC High Street store launch went for floor sweeping lengths. Zara Shahjahan was absolutely on trend in striped palazzos (her own? ) , color blocking it with a red-green blouse & adding a blazer & bag to add a formal look to the outfit. A minor gripe but wish she had gone for a bright lip color. Would have worked wonders.
Anushaye was wearing an emerald green MUSE jumpsuit. She looked gorgeous head-to-toe (a rather rare moment on our pages). ;)

Both Mehreen Syed & Noor Bhatty picked floral jumpsuits from MK NATION’s ( by Atelier Karma ) debut collection at the PFDC High Street launch. Not surprised to see both the models style their jumpsuits with the hair thrown on shoulders (see here, here & here) & minimal make-up. Loved the easy-breezy feel to the jumpsuits & the ladies pulled ‘em off well.. We would however give brownie points to Mehreen for the yummy Bottega Veneta leather tote.

Oddly enough, most ladies who attended the recently held Papparoti launch event in Karachi opted for a quintessential pair o’ black pants with varying styles of basic blouses & tunics. It was however the younger lot who actually experimented with their bottoms ; Areeba paired hers with a black studded blouse, braided side-bun & a headband, Zhalay Sarhadi with a bright floral top , orange strappy sandals & a tan bag and a guest (sorry we dont know her name) with a checkered blouse & Hermes leopard print pumps.

The older lot (excuse us ladies for the blatant categorization) stuck to longer wraps & tunics.
Got a favorite? For us it was Areeba & Maheen. You?
P.S. Frieha is wearing a Fashion Flare Top, Tapulicious neckpiece & Vivienne Westwood heart heels.
