In Jumpsuits – Fia & Zara Peerzada at Luscious Loves Fashion event

Wearing Jumpsuits from The Clothes Company & MUSE respectively, Fia Khan & Zara Peerzada attended the Luscious loves Fashion launch in Lahore recently. Fia decided to pair her autumnal floral print jumpsuit with a vintage necklace, tan belt & matching sandals. Zara glammed up hers with a twisted hairdo , tomato red lips & a black shrug.

Although we don’t strictly disapprove of either of the two looks, unfortunately something somewhere felt lacking. The jumpsuits themselves weren’t the best of picks to begin with. Fia make-up made her look washed out whereas Zara’s hair kept the focus off her pretty neckline. Wish she had gone for a bun instead.

Prefer one over the other? We can’t.

In Elan – Humaima Malik at the Samsung Galaxy Grand launch

As the newly appointed ambassador of the Samsung Galaxy series, Humaima Malik attended one of the Brand’s phone launches yesterday wearing a purple one-shouldered Elan dress. Waist up she looked nice – waist down was a different story altogether. The churidar under the dress stuck out like a sore thumb & the blingy footwear did no favor to her either. We would probably blame the designer for that – the dress itself was poorly designed & lacked the quintessential Elan aesthetics. Not something one expects the Design Team at Elan to churn out. Whats you verdict ? Disagree?

Aamina Sheikh for Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan promotions

As Brand ambassador of the Kamal Lawn 2013 collection , Aamina Sheikh has been busy lately attending the Karachi & Lahore leg of exhibitions. For the Kamal Lawn by Zara Shahjahan Exclusive Media preview in Dolmen Mall Karachi, she picked one of our personal favorites from the collection; a cobalt blue-burnt orange floral print outfit titled “Royal Nights”. Stacked gold bangles, a braided side-bun & a gorgeous pair o’ T-strap heels added added finishing details to the outfit. Envy that million dollar smile !

At the exhibition in Lahore, Aamina posed for the photogs in a pastel hued Kamal Lawn outfit. Though we didn’t liking the dress one bit, there’s no denying that Neck up she looked great . The cream clutch & the mismatched black pumps were a major deal breaker too.

For it was easy to pick a favorite between the two. What about you?

JUST IN : Sania Maskatiya at Sapphire Lawn by Sania Maskatiya Lahore Exhibition

Here’s your first look at the lovely Sania Maskatiya playing host at the ongoing ‘Sapphire Lawn by Sania Maskatiya‘ Lahore exhibition. Both Sania & her sister (left in the picture) are wearing stitched shirts from the collection, with Sania adding a pair o’ pumps & Balenciaga cobalt blue clutch to her outfit. Check back later for less ‘red’ pictures (that is iff there will be any owing to the wrongly done lighting by the Event Management at the venue).

The collection is being exhibited from 11am-9pm at Mall 1 at Main Boulevard, Gulberg Lahore….It is a one-day event, so GO SHOP !

The Red Carpet Favorite : Black Pants

Oddly enough, most ladies who attended the recently held Papparoti launch event in Karachi opted for a quintessential pair o’ black pants with varying styles of basic blouses & tunics. It was however the younger lot who actually experimented with their bottoms ; Areeba paired hers with a black studded blouse, braided side-bun & a headband, Zhalay Sarhadi with a bright floral top , orange strappy sandals & a tan bag and a guest (sorry we dont know her name) with a checkered blouse & Hermes leopard print pumps.

The older lot (excuse us ladies for the blatant categorization) stuck to longer wraps & tunics.

Vision in white – Mahira Khan at SKMCH

Mahira Khan kept it simple & pretty as the Chief guest at the Inauguration of Women Imaging & Mobile Mammography Unit at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. She was wearing a white chikankari kurta with a wrap-around shawl , black khussas & black churidar. A look only Mahira can pull off so well. Why can’t we all look like her :(

On a side note it’s great to see Mahira’s active affiliation with the Hospital & supporting a charitable cause.

Meesha Shafi at STING Jhatzzzka Dance move inaugration

For the STING JHATZZKA Dance move event in Lahore, Meesha Shafi put in an appearance wearing separates, color coordinated with the label. Meesha almost always gets our vote, but this time the look felt too dark & heavy for the event in question. From the leopard-ey shirt to the stiletto boots to the oversized lapels of the jacket, nothing worked ! Are you with us on this?

We’re guessing she was wearing these burgundy jeggings from QUIZ.
