Much has been Blogged, Tweeted & hyped about Satrangi by Bonanza’s Winter 2013/2014 campaign in the last few weeks. More so because the campaign has been beautifully executed, directed, styled by the supremely talented husband-wife duo, Maha & Nadir of Nadir Firoz Khan Photography. We saw the photoshoot in Sunday Times this past weekend, the BTS pics & sneak peaks on Maha & Amna’s Instagram accounts, and (in case you missed it) Alyzeh Rahim ,of Beauty Fruity Blurbs, also blogged about a very chic look wearing one of our (and possibly everybody’s) favorite jackets from the collection.
Talking to us, Maha said : “It is possibly one of our best works to date not only in terms of the concept & creative execution , but also the sheer scale and quality at which we’ve achieved something like this – totally a first in Pakistan”.
People ! The wait is over. Here’s your first look at the teaser of the TVC which goes on air next week. I saw the complete 40-45 second version last weekend… and have been seeing it on repeat since then ,for it’s an absolute visual & aural treat ! For now, here’s a glimpse of it :
( Directed & Edited by Nadir Firoz Khan , Concept,Styling & Creative Direction: Maha Burney, DOP : Salman Razzak, Art Direction & Set: Amina & Anisa Rashid of RAK Associates, Makeup & Hair: Raana Khan, Models: Amna Babar & Huma Khan, Music : Zoe & Zohaib, Color Grade: Mathew at Spice Shop, Bangkok, Post Production by Beyond Reality, Production Coordinator Parvez Khan *A Team NFK Production*)
In case you guys missed the complete photoshoot, here it is :
Wearing a slightly modified version of Maheen Karim’s marble print silk gown, Ayesha Omar posed for the photogs at the recent Oreo cookies Pakistan launch. She styled it quite similar to the runway version, with the hair left open & a bangle in one of the arms. Well… personally,I’m not a fan of the dress itself – the print’s too jarring & the tail wee bit endless. But I also understand that Fashion critique is not always about yourself and your personal sense of style. She managed to looked pretty nonetheless. Thanks to her 1000 Watt peachy complexion (as Natasha calls it) & an effortless sense of style. If we were to change something, we’d definitely pick the bag – not feeling it.
What do you guys think? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

If you guys have been following us on Instagram , you would have known how thoroughly we enjoyed Wardha Saleem ‘s PSFW collection this year (see here , here and here) . Right from the promo film at the start of the show to the prints galore that followed , the collection titled Doodle junction spoke volumes of her deep understanding of textile, fashion, art and crafts.
Wardha’s latest venture, her Lawn Eid Collection is a first of it’s kind product by an established designer, whereby the lawn prints are reflective of what has been presented on the runway – the way it should be. The designer’s unique aesthetic runs throughout the collection, with bold, bright and quirky prints executed carefully on a wide color palette.
The collection comprises of 8 exclusive designs consisting of traditional, contemporary and fusion prints, each in two color variations. The best part ? The outfits come at a great price of Rs.3130 only (Yes you heard us right) in whimsical design names such as ‘Doodle Cage’ , ‘folk play’ and ‘Psychedelic’.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite designs from the collection. Shot by Tapu Javeri and styled by Nabila (NPro) , the campaign features everybody’s current girl-crush : Sanam Saeed :) . Got a favourite print?
P.S. The collection will be available from 27th June at all leading stores worldwide including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, UAE, UK, USA, Canada and Australia. The lawn will also be sold online.
Changing things up a bit, Ayesha Omar hosted a recent launch event in a sequinned gold camisole, black pants and an embellished black jacket by the newly launched designer, Ayesha Hasan (of the Sania Maskatiya copy fame). Compared to the runway blazer version , we’re quite liking the chiffon jacket one and Ayesha wore it well. It was hair however which fell a bit dowdy on her. A welcomed change from the signature blow dries that we see Ayesha in , but this time it didn’t work. Disagree with us on that?
The hair & make-up was done by Natasha’s Salon.

When it comes to their personal style & sartorial choices, we’re big fans of both Sana Hashwani & Safinaz Muneer . With the designer duo opening their Flagship store in Lahore today, we take you back to Sana Safinaz’ recent few appearances.
Be it shorter hemlines, or the kimono wrap tunics, these ladies sure know how to get the trends rolling. Volumetric blow dries , pearl drop earrings, cigerette pants, cavallis , minimal make-up & peep-toes ; we have grown to love the signature Sana Safinaz look over the years. Backed by such a strong style quotient, their newly launched ready-to-wear clothing line & accessories are already a huge success with fashionistas across the nation.

Out of all four looks , which one is your favourite? We’re digging that canary yellow wrap tunic on Safinaz the most. Love it !!
We love having Mahira on our pages, and it is no doubt that she looks Fab in almost anything she wears. At the recent Premiere of HUM TV’s upcoming Telefilm ‘Behad’ , she was snapped wearing a black peplum top, with black bottoms & skin-colored accessories. A great outfit choice for the movies but it’s hard to look past the footwear & clutch. Would have much preferred metallic or colored accessories instead. On a more positive note, that peplum top fits just perfectly !

Ladies, lets accept it ! We all suffer from a certain kind of OCD when it comes to picking the right shampoo. Standing before the drugstore shelf every month ain’t the best of feelings, especially when the wishlist is so elaborate ; it HAS to have a great smell, a fancy shmancy bottle, must come at a good price & above all , should be nice to the hair. So this morning while I was shampooing my hair with the newly launched Sunsilk Co creations shampoo by HSY, I realized what a great blend of all these factors the shampoo presents. Hardly any strands lost & my tresses feel & smell GREAT !!!
An initiative by PR Catalyst & Marketing, Four Sunsilk Fashion Edition Bottles were launched in collaboration with one designer each at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. Here’s you look at the launch pictures…Go On….Decide…Which one would you be picking for your hair type?
