GET THE LOOK : Samina Khan of PAPER Magazine

We spotted Samina Khan, Publisher PAPER Magazine, at the recently held exhibition of MARYA Fall/Winter Collection in Lahore, looking uberly stylish head-to-toe. T’was instant love with the Jimmy Choo studded slipper for us.

Not sure if it was Anna dello Russo’s fault for designing an opulent collection in collaboration with H&M, but we know for sure that her crocodile embellished sunglasses are one of the hits of the season. With influences from Prada, Dolce & Gabbana ,DSquared & Roberto Cavalli , embellished sunglasses have taken over the Spring Summer 2013 runways & as well as the streets. You can DIY your own by adding different adornments: raisin flowers, pearls, studs and so on.

A lover of quirky sunnies herself, Zahra Ayub has been spotted wearing the ADR for H&M crocodile ones recently. Russo’s are a personal favorite of ours amongst all the runway ones. *Love*

Nabila donning some Trendy Accessories

A recent airing of Geo Shaan Say had Nabila put in an appearance looking uber stylish in a blue ombr’e blouse & creme wide legged pants. Compared to her previous appearance on the show (here), this was an absolute winner. Infact, one of the best outfit choices we have seen Nabila make recently. However what made the look stand out were trendy accessories ; a blue leather purse from YSL & Two-toned cobalt blue -aqua ZARA sandals perfectly complemented the separates.

Zahra Ayub London Fashion Week Day 2

Ms. Ayub continued to get our fashion nods with her look for Day 2 of the ongoing London Fashion Week. While it was black & white for day 1, Day 2 saw her in flirty florals combined with sporty elements. Perfectly in line with the New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 Trend Report by Harper’s Bazaar :

“The New York Spring 2012 verdict is in. Sporty and sportswear are here to stay, but in a much more understated way thanks to sorbet colors and louche, low-key silhouettes. Don’t discard your floral fantasies just yet, this season the trend continues with a high-octane dose of flower power, plus an equally amped-up version of color blocking, or shall we say lessons in geometry” (from Harper’s Bazaar.)

Zahra Ayub – London Fashion Week Day 1

Stylist & Fashion Editor Zahra Ayub attended Day 1 of the ongoing London Fashion Week looking her stylish self. In terms of personal style, Zahra is our favorite & there was hardly anything not lust-worthy about her look. She looked sexy head-to-toe !

The Fashionista Next Door

If you ve read our last post , you ll know what this one is about. We were thrilled about it, especially because it came from an avid fan of AWA who wrote to us all the way from Norway. Lalarukh Malik is a student of microbiology & she keeps a Fashion Blog. She loves everything fashion & adds in alot of personality to her outfits by mixing & matching her favorite wardrobe items.

Here are two of our favorite looks sent in by her (and there’s more to come in the coming days , so check back for more) . Meanwhile check out her Blog here ; we loved the whole visual layout & easy to skim posts.

1. STREET CHIC :

Taken on Eid Day 2012. Lalarukh wore a white chiffon blouse with embroidered details on shoulders, by Vero Moda , blue see through trousers by H&M (from their fashion against aids campaign 2012). The vest in her hands is also from H&M, the scarf from pieces and the oversized envelope clutch is from Glitter . How very Chic !

2. OUT IN THE WOODS :

Perfect for an Autumnal day, Lalarukh stepped out in style wearing a jacket, grey leggings, leg-warmers, woolen cap & striped gloves all by H&M . She paired it all up with the perfect pair of vintage leather boots.

Feline Fever

Regardless of whether you are short sighted, long sighted or simply none of the above - You ve gotta gotta own a pair of these Cat eye glasses which are all the rage this season. We spotted almost similar versions on Sonam Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut & Esha Gupta at some of their recent appearances. However, we ll give due credit to Pakistani journo & fashion critic Aamna Haider Isaani for being one of the first ones to endorse the trend (P.S. notice she goes a step higher by opting for a bolder cheetah print version).

We love these cat eye glasses even more because they re not face shape specific; everybody can pull them off equally well. Moreover, they re perfectly in-line with the Geek Chic Trends for this year.

Out of the four Ladies below, whose cat eye glasses do you love more? For us it was a clear win by Kangna ! Courtesy her hair & attitude.

P.S. A Wardrobe Affair’s recommendation : Tom Ford Cat Eye Glasses( picture below). Guess Kangna’s are the same.

Update: We just got to know that Aamna’s are also Tom Ford – Makes them all the more Drool-Worthy ;)
