Doing Pastels and Prints

Fareshteh Aslam played host to the who’s who of fashion Industry at a recently held brunch at her place. She wore an ivory Shehla Chatoor kaftan dress with a baroque-print clutch & black footwear. Shehla herself was in attendance wearing a Jacket with Fur trimming from her FPW’2012 Chinoiserie collection over a nude pencil skirt & white shirt. Frieha Altaf too was snapped in a baroque print BCBG by Max Azria kaftan dress with Michael Kors heels and a Shanghai Tang clutch.

Loved Shehla’s in-house print Jacket but the clutch was a deal-breaker. Plus it would have been nice to see her hair away from the face & more importanly that lovely jacket. Among all three Ladies, Fareshteh was an absolute favorite !! She looked great head-toe-toe.

Shimmer and Shine

When in doubt, wear black  shimmer & shine ! From Frieha Altaf to Shehla Chatoor, Sarah Waqar & Ranaa Khan, these ladies rocked their respective New Years Parties in sparkly short numbers. Particularly loved Sarah for keeping it fun & chic by way of the burgundy lips & hot pink sleeve. Shehla too stole the night in her gold sequin dress , nude peep-toes & an Alexander Mcqueen clutch.

New Years Party – Opa Zong Style !

Of the ladies doing all black & red lip at the Zong hosted New Years Party, who do you think needs to be heavily fined by the fashion police? Although Mathira wins this one by a clear margin, it is sad Iraj Manzoor is also in our worst dressed list. Had it not been for the lovely locks, we would have gone in a complete state of denial – not feeling the harem pants with that blouse & strappy heels one bit !

Cybil Chaudhry at Club Gold Soiree

There’s no denying Cybil Chaudhry looked amazing at a recent Soiree. Wearing an asymmetrical hem skirt with stockings, cobalt blue top, courts & a statement gold necklace, she posed for the photogs at the party… We really like how Cybil ‘owns’ this look and not the other way round. We do however wish she had gone for a long strap purse instead of the clutch – but that’s asking for too much – Just us we suppose :D

Furred Up !

Fur-get the biker jackets & the wool trenches. Cosy-up with the season’s staple accessory – the faux fur jacket . As seen on Khadijah Shah, Shehla Chatoor, Areeba Magsi &  Rabia Khan at their respective soirées, the faux fur vest/lapel cardigan are this year’s winter must-have items, especially if you are an old-school glamour person like us. It is the perfect piece to incorporate into your wardrobes sans frigid temperatures. Plus it’s extreme versatility makes it virtually effortless to style.

Though all the ladies wore theirs well , there’s no denying, Khadijah Shah stands out from the rest of the pack. Always does ! Who’s your favorite?

Get the Look : Zara Peerzada

Zara Peerzada glammed it up at the recently held birthday bash of Shahzad (of Ather Shahzad) wearing a tiered Vera Wang dress  from the label’s ‘lavender’ collection. The chiffon dress was a beautiful shade of chartreuse — one of the hottest colors of the year & features nude straps and a silk lining. While she let the dress do most of the talking, it was the Marni necklace & red lips that stole the show. Gorgeous !

Celebs at Misha Lakhani Store Launch

Of the Ladies snapped at the recently held store launch of Misha Lakhani in Karachi , whose look are you more gravitated towards ? For us , it was easy to pick Iman Pasha & the lady of the evening herself . Both were wearing Misha. Loved Iman’s hair & the sexy back .

Nida Azwer’s chantilly lace sari, though beautiful, was’nt an appropriate choice for the event in question .
