In Sana Safinaz – Safinaz Muneer at Kamal Lawn launch

There are very few people in the our fashion Industry who can wear just about anything & manage to look great every single time. Fewer still who wear their own creations with as much pride as lets say Cavalli. We spotted a very radiant Safinaz Muneer ( the powerhouse behind Sana Safinaz ) seated front row at the Kamal Lawn 2013 launch in Karachi. She was wearing a Sana Safinaz gold embellished short shirt with matching pants & peep-toes. Hair thrown on the shoulders & a lovely pair of pearl earrings added the essential va-va-voom to her look.

Trend Alert : You may recall both Sana & Safinaz wearing shorter lengths since quite sometime now. ( See here & here). Well, it’s finally here & you can thank Safinaz for being the fashion forward one.

Doing Pastels and Prints

Fareshteh Aslam played host to the who’s who of fashion Industry at a recently held brunch at her place. She wore an ivory Shehla Chatoor kaftan dress with a baroque-print clutch & black footwear. Shehla herself was in attendance wearing a Jacket with Fur trimming from her FPW’2012 Chinoiserie collection over a nude pencil skirt & white shirt. Frieha Altaf too was snapped in a baroque print BCBG by Max Azria kaftan dress with Michael Kors heels and a Shanghai Tang clutch.

Loved Shehla’s in-house print Jacket but the clutch was a deal-breaker. Plus it would have been nice to see her hair away from the face & more importanly that lovely jacket. Among all three Ladies, Fareshteh was an absolute favorite !! She looked great head-toe-toe.

Twice the nice – Azeeza Desai Khan

Two different appearances of Azeeza Desai Khan (of Atelier AZZA) saw her in the same black leather leggings worn two different ways. For the SitaRam Chicago musical (rehersal ?) , she kept it casual in a fox fur vest from Theory ,statement necklace, signature red lips & ZARA skull slippers whereas at the launch of Atelier AZZA at LABELs Lahore , she glammed it up with a jeweled AZZA blazer, feathered clutch , purple Christian Louboutin pleated D’orsay & a BIG topknot. Our disbelief in the Loubs aside ( not feeling ‘em) , she looked gorgeous at both events. If we still have to pick one, we would pick the Sita Ram one. You?

Wearing her own – Zara Peerzada at Insignia Brunch

For her appearance at the Insignia winter brunch, Zara Peerzada chose to wear an ivory vintage crochet dress designed by her mom. She paired it up with tan gladiator boots from Insignia. We think it was a great outfit choice for a day event. Particularly loved the addition of the booties & belt to an otherwise flirty dress.

That said, we’re not too sure about the biker jacket. Wish she had opted for a tan or burgundy blazer instead. What do you guys say, with or without the jacket?

Style File – Azeeza Desai Khan

How gorgeous does Azeeza Desai Khan (of Atelier AZZA) look in one of her recent snaps with the world renown Chicago Children’s Choir & their Director Josephine Lee . She wears a black ballerina dress from her own line with gold Valentino bow heels.

This one was taken at Lollapalooza ( annual music festival held in Chicago) back in summer and we absolutely love the sheer blue skirt with signature AZZA belt & feather detailing. Like TresAwesome said :

“..only Azeeza would wear this glamorous confection to a music festival. The major upside of this was people (including security for the VIP areas) kept mistaking her for one of the artists performing”.

A similar pleated blue AZZA dress was seen on Azeeza at the recently held SitaRamChicago, a musical play by David Schwimmer’s production company. Azeeza was the official costume designer of the musical, seen here with one of her favorite characters – the monkey :)

In Sublime by Sara

It was silk jumpsuits with black blazers, bright lips & flowy hair for both Sara Shahid & friend Natasha Nabi at Sara’s ‘Sublime Studio’ launch. While we loved the plum hues on Sara , Natasha stole the show , thanks to her gorgeous arm candy – can anybody identify it for us?

Both ladies were wearing Sublime by Sara.

In Misha Lakhani : PLBW Day 1

Two of fashion’s favorite ladies, Meher Tareen (of PAPER magazine) & Shehrbano Taseer lent their support to Misha Lakhani on Day1 of PLBW dressed up in floor-sweeping dresses by the designer. A similar version of Shehrbano’s dress was worn by Iman Pasha & Meher’s by Frieha Altaf at Misha’s store launch a few months back. (see here). It’s really hard to pick a favorite between the two, but we’ll give this one to Meher. She made a simple dress look outstanding by way of the Stella Mccartney Blazer, neon toy watch, a lovely updo & Charlotte Olympia clutch.

Misha too was wearing herself (of course :P)

P.S. Wish we get hold of a clearer picture of Shehrbano’s cylinderical gold clutch – It was to-die-for.
