From L to R : Frieha Altaf at Fashion Pakistan Week 2012 (Pictures 1,2 & 3) , At Lals Patisserie launch in Karachi
Sartorially speaking , Frieha has been on a roll in the past couple of weeks. From short numbers, to fresh off-the runway separates , to eastern silhouettes, she has donned ‘em all. Detailed critique over each look aside, the hair look really nice – looks like somebody finally took our advice ( read here ) …and for GOOD ! ;) . Here’s your look at what Frieha’s wearing in all four appearances:
Look 1 : Day 3 Fashion Pakistan Week 2012
Left: Frieha Altaf at Fashion Pakistan Week Day 3 , Left : Marc Jacobs black silk dress
For Day 3 of the recently concluded Fashion Pakistan Week 2012 , Frieha wore a Black silk Radzimir dress with white silk mesh by Marc Jacobs (See here). A perfect pair of studded Louboutins & red lips completed her look. She looked absolutely Fab. Loved the hair & make-up done by Toni & Guy .

LOOK 2:Day 1 Fashion Pakistan Week 2012
L to R : Frieha Altaf at Fashion Pakistan Week 2012 Day 1 , Top Right : Shameel Ansari shirt, Bottom Right : Vivienne Westwood Heels
For Day 1 of FPW 2012, Frieha wore a baroque print Shameel Ansari shirt that the designer recently exhibited at Karachi. Not much fan of the shirt itself , but Frieha wore it well with the copper Vivienne Westwood heart heels ( buy here) & minimal accessories.

Look 3 : In Shehla Chatoor At Fashion Pakistan Week 2012
It was a Shehla Chatoor jumpsuit from the designer’s “Birds of Paradise” collection on another day of FPW. Compared to the runway model , we think Frieha fared her’s much better with a different belt.

Look 4 : In Wardha Saleem – at Lal’s Patisserie Launch
For the recently held launch of Lal’s Patisserie in Karachi, Frieha picked hot-off-the-Fashion Pakistan Week-runway separates from Wardha Saleem‘s collection. Between the geometric prints, the monochrome clutch, the earrings and the YSL Tribute sandals, the look felt tab bit overwhelming. In a perfect world , we would have wanted her to skip the cropped pants and the clutch OR stylized it exactly as on the runway model.
P.S. Love this Wardha Saleem tunic. Must Buy !

At the recently held ‘Magnum Chocolate Party’ at Convention Centre Karachi, we spotted quite a few celebrities of fashion fraternity make interesting picks for the event . Here s a fashion round-up of the launch party and while you’re at it ,we’ll go grab the new Belgian Chocolate Magnum . Its Divine !
1. Ayyan Ali & Aisha Linnea in Deepak Perwani
Brand embassadors & members of the ‘Magnum Council’ Ayyan Ali & Aisha Linnea Akhter both wore similarly embellished sequin dresses by Deepak Perwani at the party. While Aisha’s gold number was still bearable from at a distance (as the pattern meshed into vague shimmery work) Ayyan’s was ‘horrible’ (as Andaleeb Rana likes to put it). Blame Deepak !

2. Frieha Altaf in Jaun Paul Gaultier printed maxi dress
Frieha wore an interesting Gaultier multi-colored strapless maxi to the launch party. We think it was a wise choice for a summer night in Karachi & Frieha wore it well by keeping the accessories minimal. The only teeny little gripe we have is with the scarf around the arms. Think Frieha should have skipped it altogether. Nonetheless, we still like the whole look.

3. Ayesha Omer in Shehla Chatoor
There s no denying it made for a refreshing change to see Ayesha Omer in a fresh-off-the-runway black shimmery dress by Shehla Chatoor. She completed her look with gold accessories, black peep-toes & a gold clutch by Shehla. We like how the dress falls below her knees as opposed to the one on the model. The hair too complemented the whole look.

4. Andaleeb Rana in a Tapulicious ‘scarf’
When we first got to know who Andaleeb was wearing, we kept looking for the ‘scarf’ in the look. Interestingly enough, she was ‘dressed’ in the multicolored printed scarf by Tapu Javeri, tailored into an off-shoulder dress by designer Sania Maskatiya. Wish we had a full-length picture. She looked cute & funky.

4. Madiha Sultan in Sania Maskatiya
Madiha, who is the CEO of ‘LAL’s Chocolates’ stepped out like a complete celeb at the launch party dressed in a black draped dress by Mrs. Maskatiya. We loved the dress & we love how she accessorized it with a black & gold striped clutch & gold earrings.

5. Tooba Siddique
We dont have a full-length picture of Tooba & so we cant really comment who she s wearing. However, from what we see, waist up she looks gorgeous. Loved the side swept bun !!

6. Shehla Chatoor
One to be always one of the best dressed around, Shehla attended the event in a strapless leopard print max. We re not sure if its her own (or a Cavalli – maybe ) , it looked great on her. Only wish the dress fell a little longer on her.

7. Table girls wearing ‘Tables’
As ‘Instep’ likes to put it “Imported from Dubai, well rather hired from there, these table girls were Caucasians who moved with the tables that surrounded them. Some people ooh and aahed and enjoyed the drama of it, while others were heard saying what was that? ”

To us it was wee bit freaky to see mobile girls, more of table mermaids at the event =S See it for yourself in the video below.
